Police led on car chase by suspects

Two suspects are under arrest after allegedly leading police on an 8-mile chase into Yonkers after a police stop in Ardsley.

Police say after cops tried pulling the car over for alleged suspicious activity on Bramblebrook Road in Ardsley, the car sped off. The pursuit ended in Yonkers, when the suspects were stopped off Kimball Avenue. According to Capt. Peter Butler, of the Yonkers Police Department, the suspects rammed one of the police cars twice, then tossed out a handgun when they exited car. Police also discovered a "substantial" amount of marijuana in the car's trunk.

The two suspects were arrested and face multiple charges, including drug and weapon possession, and assault of a police officer.
