Lesnick begins petition process in bid for Yonkers mayor

Yonkers City Council President Chuck Lesnick (D) began collecting signatures at midnight to kick off the petition process in his bid for mayor.

Lesnick, who hopes to unseat Assemblyman Mike Spano in the September primary, needs 1,000 signatures to get on the ballot.

"We're gonna be talking to as many voters as we can over the next month to take our message of transparent government, more aid for education, and getting rid of the friends and family club of Yonkers," says Lesnick.
