Chairman of the Republican party calls for Weiner's resignation

The chairman of the Republican party, Reince Priebus, is now calling for congressman Anthony Weiner to resign.

Weiner vowed on Monday that he would not resign, after admitting to sending a lewd photo to a young woman in Seattle through Twitter.

Yonkers residents have strong feelings about what has come to be known as "Weinergate."

Many expressed outrage that an elected official like Weiner, with widely known hopes of running for New York City mayor, could do such a thing.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi and other members of the Democratic leadership voiced their disappointment in Weiner and urged the House ethics committee to launch an investigation.
