Students at Montrose H.S. hold concert for Japan disaster victims

Students at a Westchester high school close to Indian Point are uniting with Japan's earthquake and nuclear disaster victims. Students at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose took to the stage last night to raise funds for recovery efforts. Called "The Concert for a Cause," the event was spearheaded by sophomore Jennifer Morris. She said her school's proximity to Indian Point puts Japan's struggles into perspective.

"The people in a flash, everything was gone," Morris said. "I couldn't imagine that happening to me. So I just wanted to help them the way I know best - with music." School officials said all concert profits will go directly to students at Haramachi High School to help students start their lives anew.
