New Rochelle streetscape project complete

Four years after work began, the streetscape in New Rochelle's transportation district on North Avenue has been completed.

The area, paid for with federal grants, now features new trees and sidewalks, and a better flow of traffic. Mayor Noam Bramson (D-New Rochelle) says the new streetscape will be very beneficial to the city.

"When we strenghten both the efficiency and the appearance of such an important part of New Rochelle, we improve our quality of life, and also our economy," said Bramson.
