Bronxville H.S. seniors get lesson in self-defense

As the search continues for missing Edgemont-native Lauren Spierer at Indiana University, a group of graduating Bronxville High School students received an important lesson in self-defense today before going away to college.

Safety expert Steve Kardian says he is trying to make sure young women know how to protect themselves if they are ever attacked.

Kardian, who is a 30-year veteran police officer and an instructor with Defend University, says that he uses unconventional defense tactics, including dropping to your back and kicking. He also told the young women that they should always trust their gut instincts.
