Missing Edgemont girl in IN gets national attention

The disappearance of 20-year-old Lauren Spierer has garnered national attention after she was featured on "America's Most Wanted" this evening. Officials hope the exposure will bring in more leads.

Spierer, an Edgemont-native, attends Indian University.

Police say they have questioned numerous people who were known to be around Spierer before she disappeared. They also say they have collected DNA evidence from two people in connection with the disappearance.

More than 1,000 volunteers, including friends and family, have come to Bloomington, Ind. to search for Spierer.

Officials with the FBI have also joined in the search for the girl.

Police say they do suspect foul play in Spierer's disappearance, but have not officially named any suspects.
