Mount Vernon fire leaves business burned out

A fire broke out in a building on South Terrace Avenue in Mount Vernon, gutting a business and two apartments.

Officials say that no one was injured in the fire, but the damage was extensive.

Trac Regulatory Company, a valve manufacturer for the U.S. Navy, will likely be down for two months, according to Talbert Hutchinson, the company's shipping manager.

Fire officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
