Man's body found on North Salem trail

Police say a man's body was found yesterday afternoon on a hiking trail in North Salem.

Investigators say the corpse was found off of Dingle Ridge Road near Route 6.

Detectives say the man was not wearing a shirt, shoes or socks and did not have a wallet or identification on him.

He's described as appearing to be in his 50s with grayish-blond hair and gray beard stubble on his face.

The medical examiner's office says it has completed an autopsy on the body and is still trying to determine the man's identity.

State police are asking anyone with information to call 914-277-3651.
