Film chronicles gay families struggle for equal rights

A new documentary on equal rights for gay couples premiered in Irvington last night, on the same day New York came one step closer to approving gay marriage.

The state Senate in Albany could vote as soon as today on a bill that would legalize gay marriage in New York.

The film, "March On," shown at the Irvington Town Hall attracted hundreds of viewers.

Many in attendence are hoping that the Senate passses the bill as soon as possible.

If it passes, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a big supporter of the bill, will most likely quickly sign it into law.
