Police plead for public's help in burned-body case

Authorities are again reaching out to the public for help in trying to identify a murder victim who was found burned and dumped in a Dutchess County park.

State police are now looking into whether the woman who was killed and dumped off the Taconic State Parkway could be from southern Westchester or The Bronx.

Police today again released a photo of a tattoo on the woman's body, in hopes someone would recognize it and contact them.

The woman's body was found under a brush fire Sunday in James Baird State Park.

Anyone with information about the woman's disappearance is urged to call state police at 845-677-7300.
