Farmer's market opens in New Rochelle

For many people, nothing says summer better than the opening of local farmer's markets.

Today, for the third straight year, the New Rochelle's Friday farmer's market opened on the Library Green.

Vendors say you can find everything from fresh produce to cheese to breads and sweet desserts. They say the best part is that it all comes from local farms and businesses.

Shoppers love the fact the the food is organic, fresh and often less expensive than a supermarket.

Most farmer's markets in the region run from now until November.
