Police release sketch of suspect in state park death

State police have released the sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with the death of a woman found in Baird State Park early Sunday morning.

According to authorities, firefighters responding to a brush fire found the body of an unidentified woman burning by the side of the road. They say a man was seen in the area just before the body was found.

Officials are describing the man as between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds with a husky build. He was seen with a silver or light gray four-door sedan.

Troopers say the only other clue they have at this time is a flowered tattoo on the woman's back, which they hope someone will recognize.

Anyone with information is urged to call state police at 845-677-7300.
