Small plane crashes in Armonk; 4 killed
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has confirmed that a small plane has crashed in Armonk this afternoon, killing four people on board. According to FAA officials, the Cessna 210 aircraft carrying four people went down in a wooded area about half a mile from the Westchester County Airport at around 1:30 p.m. The plane was en route to Montauk on Long Island. The FAA says shortly after takeoff, the pilot radioed in that he was turning back due to some kind of problem, but the emergency landing failed. Federal officials remain on the scene investigating the cause of the crash.
