Pick-up truck ruled out as suspicious in missing WC student case

Bloomington police have eliminated a white pick-up truck from their investigation for missing Edgemont student Lauren Spierer.

The truck had been seen on surveillance camera footage during the same timeframe when Spierer was last seen. According to police, the driver was found and told investigators he was in the area, picking up an employee.

A search Sunday outside Bloomington turned up nothing, following a tip from two people riding ATVs who contacted police after reporting an unusual smell. Spierer, a student at Indiana University, was last seen June 3.
