Skaters get new park in Yonkers

There is a brand new skateboard park in Yonkers, and it is all thanks to two dedicated young men.

John Sepa, 19, and A.J. Chiarella, 18, say they were tired of getting kicked out of other parks in Yonkers. They say that is when they decided to get a skateboard park built.

In an effort to enhance open spaces in the county, the Westchester Legacy Program funded the skateboard park at Murray?s Skating on Tuckahoe Road.

Sepa and Chiarella moved their concept from the design phase to reality circulating petitions.
