Identification of Bronx woman solves body mystery

A mystery in Dutchess County after a body was found in the woods has been solved.

The woman has been identified as Jasmine Nunez, 22, of The Bronx. Police say Nunez was last seen alive with her live-in boyfriend, Andres Ceballos, 26. Police say he ran away and shot himself to death Monday after Virginia State Police stopped his car on Route 58 near Emporia, Va.

The body of Nunez was found by firefighters called to a brush fire on June 12 at James Baird State Park in the Lagrange.

Police troopers do not believe anyone else is involved in this case, but are continuing the investigation. To watch a news conference with State Police addressing Jasmine Nunez's body being identified, go to channel 612 on your iO digital cable box and select iO Extra.
