45 Sing Sing inmates graduate

Inmates at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining got their own graduation after spending weeks taking college-level classes in parenting, healthy relationships and marriage.

The courses are provided through the Osborne Association, a non-profit group that works to turn inmates? lives around and keep them involved with their families.

The 45 prisoners received information and advice to maintain relationships over the phone or during visits. And for those who may be closer to getting out, the courses look to help them transition back to civilian life.

The Osborne Association is named for Thomas Mott Osborne, a former warden at Sing Sing who dedicated his career to rehabilitating prisoners.
