Police search for scam artist in Harrison

Police in Harrison are looking for a scam artist who ran a con-game on two local businesses.

Cops say a man hit the Purchase Post Office and a Lake Street convenience store on Tuesday.

According to investigators, the man bought small ticket items with a $100 bill and then complained he was short changed, convincing the clerks to give him the money he claimed he deserved.

The suspect was carrying a cane, and was last seen driving a white Dodge Charger with a Virginia license plate.
