4 WC mental health clinics shuttered
County-run mental health clinics in Westchester have been phased out, as four facilities officially closed for good today.
Facilities in Yonkers, Mount Vernon, Mount Kisco and Peekskill were all shuttered.
The county has made arrangements with non-profit mental health providers to take over the treatment of some 1,200 patients.
Fifty county workers are affected by the closures. Some employees have signed on with the agencies that are taking over, while others say they're moving on to work with other mental health care providers.
