Mount Vernon teacher accused of improper sexual advances

A Mount Vernon high school teacher has been pulled from his classroom after being accused of inappropriate sexual advances toward a substitute teacher. The former substitute teacher tells News 12 Westchester that longtime social studies teacher Blair Washington made sexual advances toward her on three separate occasions. In a statement, the Mount Vernon City School District said: "Mr. Washington was pulled from this teaching assignment on Jan. 23 pending the criminal investigation of the allegations. As this is a personal matter, the district cannot comment further."
