Source: Evidence recovered from WC school in sex abuse case

Sources tell News 12 Westchester that a forensics team was sent to the New Rochelle school where a teacher allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old student, and that physical evidence indicative of sexual activity was recovered.

Former Isaac Young Middle School teacher Jose Martinez is accused of having sex with a male student in his office at the school. Sources say that DNA evidence, including semen, have been recovered as a result of the forensic investigation.

Some parents have defended Martinez in the wake of the accusations, saying that he was a polite teacher whom many parents had never had a problem with. Martinez remains behind bars on $500,000 bail.
