News 12 joins fight against hungry, homeless in WC

The Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless held its 12th annual fundraiser to combat the problems facing the needy in Westchester last night, and News 12's own Tara Rosenblum was there to help speak out against the plights of less-fortunate Westchester residents.

Organizers say they've seen a 30 percent increase among the homeless in Westchester over the course of the past two years alone, adding that many more new cases are involving children.

Coalition officials say last night's event was not only about raising money, but also making people more aware of the growing social problem in Westchester.
