Yonkers police investigating night of violence

Yonkers police are investigating a shooting, stabbing and robbery that all occurred within the span of one hour.

Police say the shooting occurred at 346 Van Cortlandt Park Ave. around 1:30 a.m. The victim's wife told police that she found her husband drunk and shot in the chest outside their home. The victim is expected to survive.

Investigators were then called to a slashing that happened 45 minutes later at the corner or Lawrence and Bruce streets. The victim was slashed in the face and robbed.

Another person was robbed 15 minutes later on Elm Street.

Police say none of the crimes appear interconnected. Anyone with information is asked to call the Yonkers police at 914-377-7725.
