Residents look to freeze sale of cigarettes from truck

Residents in Port Chester are complaining about a converted ice cream truck that now sells cigarettes instead of sweet treats.

The truck, which sits near a Sunoco gas station, is actually located on the Connecticut side of the border, making the cigarettes cheaper than if they were sold in New York.

While many aren't complaining about the fact that the cigarettes are being sold, they are concerned that they are being sold out of a converted ice cream truck.

The owner said that, at the time, it was the only truck available to buy and that it was a decision to save money for consumers, not to attract children.
