Fire chief: Mom drives minivan into the Hudson, kills 3 kids, self

Firefighters say a mother hasdriven a minivan into the Hudson River after a dispute at home,killing herself and her three young children.

Newburgh Fire Chief Michael Vatter says all four drowned Tuesdaynight.

The chief says firefighters were alerted by a fourth child themother had let out of the minivan just before it plunged into theriver.

He says firefighters and police officers searched for theminivan for about an hour before finding it in about 10 feet ofwater and pulling it ashore. He says everyone inside was dead.
