4 families left homeless after Yonkers house fire

Firefighters in Yonkers battled flames at the same multi-family house they responded to earlier in the week.

Officials say the fire started this morning outside 197 Warburton Ave. on a first-floor landing. The fire spread through the kitchen and up onto the roof.

Four families have been left homeless while the landlord assesses the damage. All tenants were able to evacuate safely and no injuries were reported.

Investigators are trying to figure out if the fire was deliberately set.
