Family, friends hold vigil for Hudson River victims

Dozens of family members and friends gathered in Newburgh Thursday to mourn the victims of the Hudson River tragedy.

The group sang and prayed together as they mourn the deaths of 25-year-old La'Shanda Armstrong and three of her children, who all drowned Tuesday night after the young mother drove her minivan into the river.

Throughout the day, loved ones placed flowers, candles and balloons for the victims at the site of the incident.

The funeral for all four victims has been scheduled for next Thursday at First Baptist Church in Spring Valley. Wake services will be private.
