White Plains mayor: City will be better than ever

White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach was officially sworn into his new office last night, turning over a new leaf for the city after former Mayor Adam Bradley's public fall from grace.

"I don't want to dwell on the past. My focus is on the future," Roach said last night of the scandal that had plagued his office until his arrival. Bradley resigned from his post after he was found guilty on several counts in a domestic violence case filed by his wife.

Roach says that in the wake of the former mayor's actions, part of the progress he intends to make will include restoring voter faith in local government, including their mayor. "I love the city, and I hope it shows. I'm looking to get to work and make it a better place to live."
