Residents still in shock over van-into-river crash

The community in Newburgh is still reeling after Tuesday's tragedy where a woman drove into the Hudson River with her four kids, killing herself and three of her children. One child managed to survive.

A memorial has been growing daily at the boat ramp where La?Shanda Armstrong drove into the river, as friends, family and even complete strangers leave tokens of remembrance.

Neighbors say that Armstrong's boyfriend, Jean Pierre, fought with her frequently.

Newburgh police say that no charges will be filed against anyone as a result of the tragedy.

The funeral for Armstrong and the three of her children who died will be held at the First Baptist Church Thursday in Spring Valley.
