Flooded roads snarl traffic, frustrate drivers
Flooding caused by Saturday night's storm brought traffic to a halt on many Westchester roadways on Sunday.
Frustrated drivers on the Saw Mill River Parkway complained they were crawling along at "an exit an hour." The parkway was closed from Lawrence to Tuckahoe for most of the day while crews worked to pump away water.
Some drivers accused the county of being unprepared for the storm, as the parkway is notorious for flooding.
County officials say they were doing their best, dispatching crews to clear roadways for Monday's morning commute.
