Sole survivor of Hudson River tragedy receives grief counseling

LaShaun Armstrong, 10, the sole survivor of the Hudson River tragedy will receive grief counseling from the Department of Social Services in Orange County, according to officials.

The agency says that it normally provides services for victims and their families but in light of the exceptional tragedy, they want to make sure that he is especially cared for.

Officials say LaShanda Armstrong drove her van into the Hudson River Tuesday with her four kids aboard after a fight with her boyfriend over his alleged infidelity.

The funeral for all four victims will be held Thursday in Spring Valley.
