New Rochelle mom accused of leaving 2 kids home alone

Police have arrested a New Rochelle mother who they say left her two young children home alone while she went shopping.

Alicia Nunnery, 26, was charged with child endangerment as a result of the incident.

Investigators say while Nunnery's children were alone, they began calling 911 and hanging up, resulting in officers being dispatched to the home.

Police say they found the two boys, aged 5 and 9, alone in the apartment.

Nunnery did call in every so often to check on the children, and she called while police were in the apartment, according to authorities. Police advised her to return home, where she was subsequently arrested.
