2 families keep distance at Hudson tragedy funeral

Some family members of the children killed in the Hudson River tragedy expressed anger over the separate funeral that was held Monday for the three children.

The father of the children, Jean Pierre, decided last week to separate the services and burial of the children from those for their mother, Lashanda Armstrong. Pierre also enforced a guest list for the services, leaving some extended family members without an opportunity to say goodbye at the Alphonso Brown Funeral Home in Spring Valley.

LaShaun Armstrong, the sole survivor from the tragedy, was not at the service.

After the emotional service, the three children were taken to the Gethsemane Cemetery in Congers for a private burial service.
