County closes Sprain Ridge pool for summer season

Westchester County's budget cuts are causing the Sprain Ridge pool in Yonkers to remain closed this summer.

County officials say it will cost roughly $500,000 to repair the pool in time for this coming summer season.

They say the county has already spent millions of dollars upgrading the pools at Tibbetts Brook Park in Yonkers and Wilson Woods in Mount Vernon.

The pool at Rye Playland, which closed last summer because of leaks, is expected to reopen this year.
