Firefighter accused of arson in Sleepy Hollow fire
A Sleepy Hollow firefighter was arraigned today on charges that he set a fire that left 17 people homeless in March.
The fire at 13 Cedar St. broke out on March 20. Officials say that as soon as they arrived they deemed that the fire was suspicious.
The charges left many in the community shaken, including the village's fire chief, John Korzelius, who said, "We're very upset, we're disheartened, we just want the public to know the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department is still there to do their job and should not be judged by this incident or this case."
Bronner is being held on $150,000 bond.
