Eldery Bronxville woman indicted in fatal accident

An 85-year-old Bronxville woman has been indicted for allegedly leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

The district attorney says Bridget Gambone wasarraigned Friday.

A 59-year-old Yonkers teacher, Sheryl Chasin, was killed as shecrossed a Bronxville street on her way to a Christmas party in December 2010.

If convicted, the defendant could face a prison sentence of upto seven years.

She was released on her own recognizance and is due back incourt on May 10.

Defense attorney Devereaux Cannick says it was "just a tragicaccident" and said that his client had a medical condition.
