Young WC, HV singers to perform at MSG

A group of young vocalists from Rockland, Orange and Westchester say that they are still in disbelief after scoring the chance to perform before a crowd at one of the biggest venues in town, Madison Square Garden. The Lower Hudson Valley Youth Chorus will be singing the Star Spangled Banner before tonight's New York Knicks game, and the group says that it could not be happier.

"We have some professional singers in here, we have some kids that are just beginning and just learning how to sing, so it's really a nice mix" says conductor Jared Rosenblum. Some of the singers performed earlier this week before a Harlem Globe Trotters game, and have even been featured at Radio City and local charity events.
