White Plains sets date for special mayoral election

The White Plains City Council has set March 31 as the date for its special mayoral election.

The election is necessary after Adam Bradley resigned from the position following his conviction on domestic-abuse charges.

Interim Mayor Tom Roach (D-White Plains) is the only candidate who has announced his or her intent to run for the remainder of Bradley's term.

Three possible Republican candidates who are considering running are former mayoral candidate Glen Hoakley, businessmen Bill Mooney, Sr. and restaurateur Bob Highland.
