Police name 5th suspect in killing of hotel heir in Rye

Police have named the fifth suspect they believe was involved in the death of millionaire hotel heir Ben Novack Jr. in July 2009.

Investigators say they believe 33-year-old Alejandro Gutierrez-Garcia was the fifth person involved in the killing of Novack.

Authorities say Gutierrez-Garcia has cooperated with them and provided further details surrounding the murder.

Novack's wife, Narcy Novack, along with her brother, Cristobal Veliz, and three other men, Denis Ramirez, Joel Gonzalez and Gutierrez-Garcia, beat Novack to death inside a Rye Town Hilton, according to police.

Investigators also believe that Narcy Novack is responsible for the beating death of Novack's mother, Beatirce Novack, in her Florida home three months before the death of Ben Novack.
