Man rescued from Yonkers scaffold collapse thanks rescuers

One of the workers who were trapped on the side of a Yonkers office building for over 90 minutes spoke out today about his ordeal and his gratitude toward the rescuers.

Daniel Hernandez-Sevilla was one of the two men who were trapped after a scaffolding they were working on collapsed and left them dangling 13 stories above ground late Friday evening.

Hernandez-Sevilla says it all happened so fast he couldn't understand what happened. He said that he is grateful to all those who helped rescue him and save his life and that 48 hours after the ordeal, he is fine and ready to get back to work.

Federal investigators are continuing to probe what caused the scaffolding to collapse.
