Near-$4 regular gas has HV commuters fuming

Drivers in the Hudson Valley say that they are not seeing evidence of the falling prices of crude oil at the gas pump, with prices for a gallon of regular gas now nearing the $4 mark.

At a Hartsdale Mobil station, drivers are paying $3.98 for a gallon of regular gas, while the price of higher-grade gas is already well above $4. The owner, however, says that she is only passing along the higher costs from her supplier, simply to cover the costs of operating the station itself.

Earlier today, crude oil prices were down $1.64, which is expected to help a little bit, but not much.
