Elmsford residents cleaning up after flooding

The sun has been shining for days, but residents in Elmsford are still recovering from the flooding that submerged most of the Hudson Valley beginning on Friday.

For homeowners, the flooding has left many cleaning up and having to replace floors, walls and furniture that were damaged.

While some businesses were spared from the water, they say that the flooding hurt their business by keeping customers away.

Many residents say the flooding has renewed their desire to dredge the nearby river and find a long-term solution to the flooding.
