Police unable to locate possible gunman on Mercy College campus

Police in Dobbs Ferry say they have not located a gunman at Mercy College after a 911 call reported the man was in a campus building.

Police rushed to the college and evacuated all the buildings while conducting a search of every classroom to find the suspected gunman.

School officials immediately canceled all evening classes in light of the possible threat.

Students who were on campus at the time say they were scared at the possibility of what could happen.

Police say they do believe the original 911 call was legitimate, despite not finding a gunman on the campus.
