Witness: WC shooting victims in wrong place, wrong time

Yonkers police say they have a description of the man accused of spraying at least six bullets into a crowded neighborhood Thursday night that left a 13-year-old boy and a 31-year-old man wounded.

Police say the unidentified boy and 31-year-old Jamal Booker were both walking in the area of Spruce Street around 6:30 p.m. when they were shot.

Investigators say Booker was shot in the ankle, and the teen in his buttocks, but added that both are expected to recover. Booker's friend, Dennis Ramione, says that Booker was not the kind of person who got into trouble, and was probably just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Police say that the alleged shooter is described as a 5'5" black man in his 20s, who was last seen wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt.
