Man found dead in Dobbs Ferry, cops refuse comment

Police in Dobbs Ferry are refusing to comment on their investigation after a man was reportedly found dead with a gunshot wound to his chest in a car Thursday night.

A witness says someone along Beacon Hill Drive stumbled upon a car that was facing perpendicular to the road, stopped just in front of a street sign. In the front seat was a man, who appeared to be dead, who had suffered an apparent gunshot to his chest.

Paul Gladman, who lives just up the street, says that he saw some police activity last night, and that it appeared that the car had veered off the road and hit the street sign.

Police would not say whether they are treating the case as a suicide or as a murder.
