Ardsley H.S. students walk out over budget cuts

Seniors at Ardsley High School protested proposed cuts in state education funding Friday by walking out of class.

Many seniors left class for 15 minutes to voice their anger over the 7-percent cut to the state education budget that Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) has proposed.

Even though the cuts will not affect the seniors who are graduating this year, they say they are taking action now to protect their fellow students.

The seniors say they used social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to organize the protest.
