Community turns out to help family who lost child in Newburgh fire

The community in Newburgh is turning out to help the family of 1-year-old Natanya Vaquero who died in a three-alarm fire Friday.

The fire broke out in the home on Williams Street Friday afternoon.

Strangers and friends have donated money to help pay for the funeral arrangements for the child. Others have left balloons, flowers and candles in front of the home as a memorial.

Two of Vaquero's sisters remain in the hospital with injuries, but the family says they are doing better.

Investigators say they believe the fire started in an adjacent house and spread into the home, but they are unsure of the exact cause of the fire.
