Snow sneaks its way into Spring's first full day

Today is the first full day of Spring 2011, but that image was quickly betrayed by some fat, heavy snowflakes that coated the Hudson Valley with a slick veneer almost instantly for commuters this morning.

Rain forecasted for this afternoon is expected to wash away any snow that is leftover from this morning's wintry wallop.

Portions of several Orange County roads, including a stretch of I-84, had to be shut down as unprepared roads and motorists resulted in multiple car crashes throughout the area.

Meteorologists are forecasting for the possibility of more snow later this week, so don't pack away your shovels just yet.
