'Dream come true' at MSG for HV woman battling cancer

A 20-year-old woman from Rockland, who is battling cancer, says that she wants to go back in time to Tuesday night and press pause to the moment she took center ice at a New York Rangers game and sang the National Anthem, an experience that she says is one of the best she's ever had.

Melissa DiMataris, of Blauvelt, got the chance to show off her vocal talents through the non-profit Garden of Dreams charity, which works closely with Madison Square Garden to make dreams come true for children who are overcoming obstacles.

DiMataris says she met representatives from the Garden of Dreams at Maria Farerri Children's Hospital, where she is being treated for leukemia.
